THE PLAYABLE ALPHA / YOUR FLIGHT PLAN

Explore space and Aster Vale.

Find your own rhythm between station sanctuary, the unknown beyond your radar and the surface of Aster Vale. These are activities in the current alpha—not a wishlist.

01 / FLIGHT

Take the helm

Set a course, dock at stations and manage your ship’s power and boost. Keep an eye on fuel as you venture farther from home.

02 / EXPLORATION

Beyond the next gate

Cross cinematic star gates between four connected systems. Discover stations and take courier missions that point you toward new routes.

03 / COMBAT

You are not alone

Fight biological, crystalline and replicator encounters with fixed-hardpoint lasers. Seek the Umbra Warden in Glacial Veil and the Crown Broodmother in Umbra Crown.

04 / MINING

Make a living in the belt

Mine five asteroid difficulty tiers for iron, copper, tin, aluminium, silicon and gold. Collect private drops and bring them to market. Watch your cargo space—and your surroundings.

05 / ECONOMY

Find your next opportunity

Trade with stations and other pilots, browse player listings and organize cargo in private per-station storage. Equipment condition matters.

06 / LOADOUT

Build a ship that fits

Shop for equipment, fit fixed lasers and shield modules, repair damage and manage your available ships. Your choices shape the next flight.

07 / PROGRESSION

Give every flight a purpose

Earn XP and levels through combat and mission rewards. Take patrol, supply and delivery work, then chart a course toward the next challenge.

08 / YOUR COCKPIT

Fly on your terms

Arrange bounded cockpit windows, customize controls, UI scale and visual quality, and use finite radar and target information to read the space around you.

09 / PLANETARY EXPLORATION

A new frontier underfoot

Approach orbiting Aster Vale, land at Stillwater Reach, Flintwake Ridge or Veilmoss Basin, and explore on foot. Gather surface minerals, face wildlife and prepare for cold, toxic air and danger beyond the landing sanctuary.

10 / PLANETARY HOMESTEADS

Make a place on the frontier

Fund a house from your own landed ship’s cargo, enter a private interior and manage guest access. Place a workbench and craft learned recipes using your own supplies. Surface quests connect gathering and equipment unlocks.

THE MINER'S FIELD GUIDE / FIVE DIFFICULTIES, SIX MINERALS

Asteroid mining and minerals.

From your first iron haul to a hold of gold, every mining run starts with a choice. Not every asteroid yields every mineral. Fit your mining laser, watch your cargo space and find the rocks that suit your next expedition.

What can I play right now?

The alpha includes four connected systems, server-authoritative flight and NPC combat, asteroid mining, equipment, progression and station/pilot trading. On T0 Aster Vale, land at three sites, explore on foot, gather rare surface minerals, encounter wildlife and develop a homestead with guest access and workbench crafting. Content and balance are still evolving.

Can I play without downloading anything?

Yes. Nebesa is an online browser game; an internet connection and verified account are required. Chromium with WebGL2 is recommended for planetary gameplay. The cockpit reports graphics capabilities and offers lower visual quality for less powerful devices.

Does supporting development give me more power?

No. Donations are voluntary and do not buy combat or progression advantages. Future paid in-game items are intended to be cosmetic only.

What happens if I disconnect during combat?

A hot combat logout leaves your ship in space for 30 seconds. Incoming attacks restart the timer, so closing the browser does not protect your ship.

What are the risks on a planet?

Landing sanctuaries offer a protected starting point. Outside them, wildlife, environmental hazards and other players can be dangerous. Character death creates public drops from carried and equipped character items; hospital recovery and landed-ship impound are separate from losing the ship’s cargo. Prepare your supplies before leaving sanctuary.

THE LONG VIEW / BEYOND THE ALPHA

The future of
the Nebesa universe.

Project Nebesa is a crowdfunded, openly developed 2D online space simulation browser MMO, built by one person with a love for making games. This early phase puts lasting foundations first, so the universe can grow with care rather than rush toward promises.

I

More stars. Deeper journeys.

A wider, interconnected network of star systems, with new places to settle and reasons to travel. Mining, missions, combat and NPC encounters will deepen as the universe grows.

II

Made by pilots. Sustained by pilots.

The long-term goal is for everything in the game to be player-craftable: ships, equipment, ammunition, fuel and more. Destruction and wear would drive loss, replacement and a living production economy.

III

A home worth building together

Player-owned and alliance-controlled stations, alongside alliance planetary bases. Places to build, supply and defend together, connecting life on the surface with opportunity among the stars.

ON THE HORIZON — These are long-term goals, not playable alpha features or promises of a fixed release date.

FLIGHT RECORDER / DEVELOPMENT ROADMAP

Nebesa development roadmap.

Explore the milestones behind today’s alpha, then see where the journey could lead next.

  1. PROJECT ORIGIN

    The first transmission

A project file. An empty sky. The beginning of Nebesa’s independent development journey.

    About this milestone

Date from this workspace’s Visual Studio project-file creation timestamp: 12 September 2026, 16:42 UTC. Copying or restoring files can reset this metadata; this is not a verified first-commit date.

  2. DOCUMENTED CHECKPOINT

    Every encounter starts to matter

XP rewards, mission progression and finite-radar snapshots were recorded in the alpha’s automated verification. A foundation for flights with purpose.

    About this milestone

The dated development audit records 257 passing tests and implemented reward behavior. Running-client and clean-database verification remained open at that checkpoint; this is not a release date.

  3. DOCUMENTED CHECKPOINT

    A place for every haul

Private per-station storage, condition-aware transfers, market buyback rules and equipment purchases expanded the pilot economy.

    About this milestone

The dated inventory and market continuation documents implemented paths and regression coverage. It explicitly leaves running-client acceptance pending; this is not a release date.

  4. By 13 Oct 2026
    ALPHA MILESTONE

    Four systems. A wider horizon.

Nebesa, Ember Reach, Glacial Veil and Umbra Crown are joined by reciprocal cinematic gates, with stations and system-specific encounters.

    About this milestone

The October 13 deployment and acceptance records document the four-system atlas and reciprocal gates. This is a documented-by date, not the original feature completion date.

  5. October 2026
    ALPHA MILESTONE

    A universe that pushes back

Fixed-hardpoint combat, distinct alien families, boss encounters and five asteroid mining tiers give each expedition its own risks and rewards.

    About this milestone

October development records document combat, NPC and mining foundations with automated coverage. The displayed month is a documented period, not an exact release date.

  6. 12–13 Oct 2026

    Your ship. Your command deck.

Equipment, repair, power controls, progression and configurable cockpit windows bring more decisions into every flight.

    About this milestone

The October 12 inventory/equipment continuation and October 13 cockpit acceptance records document these capabilities. The displayed range describes those checkpoints, not the original completion dates.

  7. DOCUMENTED CHECKPOINT

A stronger foundation beneath the stars

Bounded simulation, snapshot delivery and persistence work received a dedicated reliability and frame-pacing pass.

    About this milestone

The dated performance continuation records a successful build and 573 passing tests. It does not establish production capacity, flawless frame pacing or a deployment date.

  8. After 14 Oct 2026
    ALPHA MILESTONE

Reading the space between the stars

Gate-orientation couriers, floating combat feedback, original artwork and smoothly mixed encounter densities refine the journey.

    About this milestone

Implemented after the October 14 performance baseline in the subsequent development sequence. The exact completion day remains unverified. Critical-hit styling does not imply a new critical-chance mechanic.

  9. DOCUMENTED CHECKPOINT

More to discover in every haul

Aluminium, silicon and gold join the asteroid economy. Five mining difficulties gain original artwork, while distinct mineral sprites and a field guide help pilots read their haul.

    About this milestone

The dated October 15 asset and mining record documents six minerals, approved tier pools, additive economy seeding and local artwork/browser verification. This checkpoint is not an exact production release timestamp.

  10. 15 Oct 2026 onward
    ALPHA MILESTONE

    The frontier reaches solid ground

Aster Vale brings three landing sites, on-foot exploration, rare gathering, environmental hazards and wildlife to T0 Nebesa. Homesteads, private interiors, guest permissions and workbench blueprints connect the surface to life in space.

    About this milestone

The October 15 planetary records document the T0 implementation and an initial working-build deployment. The developer subsequently confirmed the completed planetary development pass and updated server. The latest release timestamp was not independently checked for this page update; broader multiplayer, real-device and capacity acceptance remain separate.

Future plans for Nebesa

Next steps and long-term vision · not a list of completed features

  1. 01 / REFINE
    NEAR-TERM PRIORITIES

Make the frontier feel like home

Refine the journey between cockpit, landing site and homestead. Improve planetary art, controls and clarity; strengthen recovery, balance and the everyday experience across devices.

Build on the T0 planetary alpha, with measured verification
  2. 02 / CREATE
    LONG-TERM CRAFTING VISION

    Everything starts with a maker

The goal is for everything in the game to be player-craftable: ships, equipment, ammunition, fuel and more. Deeper blueprints and production would connect resource gathering to the things pilots fly and use.

Destruction and wear would drive loss and replacement; exact rules remain future design
  3. 03 / ESTABLISH
    LONG-TERM OWNERSHIP VISION

Build a foothold among the stars

Player-owned and alliance-controlled stations: shared destinations for industry, logistics and life in space. Connect the player economy through places that pilots build, supply and defend.

Future stations—not the current NPC station ownership model
  4. 04 / SETTLE
    LONG-TERM ALLIANCE VISION

    From homesteads to shared horizons

Alliance planetary bases would take collective building beyond today’s personal houses. Establish a surface presence together and connect it to the wider network of ships and stations.

Alliance bases are a future system, distinct from current guest access
  5. 05 / CONNECT
    LONG-TERM WORLD EXPANSION

More stars on the other side

Expand the interconnected star-system network beyond today’s four systems. Create new routes, destinations and reasons to journey farther, growing planetary content as its foundations mature.

No fixed system count, release date or automatic planetary rollout
  6. 06 / DISCOVER
    CONTINUING CONTENT DIRECTION

A universe with more to tell

Mining and mission expansions, richer combat and new NPC encounters will follow as development progresses. Broaden the choices and challenges within the places pilots already know as well as new frontiers.

Content grows alongside stability, balance and player feedback

No fixed release dates. Future systems, scope and priorities will be refined through development and player feedback.

A NOTE FROM THE CREATOR

Made by an independent creator.

I love making video games—the little moments where an idea becomes a place someone else can explore. Nebesa is my own project, made by one person, one piece at a time. It is still early, but the dream is a space universe that feels alive because of the people in it.

If you have taken a flight, tried something new, reported a rough edge or supported the project, thank you. Your time, patience and encouragement mean more than you might realize. I am grateful that you are here, and I hope we can make something special together.

Thank you for being part of Nebesa.
